What voice commands can you use with your Echo or Nest devices?
You can operate virtually every function of your Washington DC smart home via your favorite AI assistant. Monitor the status of your smart components, adjust to a pre-determined setting, or perform minute tweaks of a setting with some user-friendly vocal commands. Or command your Echo or Nest device to schedule your entire security system just like you could in the Vivint smartphone app.
Check out a few voice commands you are able to give to Alexa or Google:
-
“Change my security system to away.”
-
“Lock the front door.”
-
“Power off my family room light.”
-
“Did I forget the garage door open?”
-
"Keep a clip of my doorbell camera."
-
"Turn down the heat 3 degrees."
-
“Turn off the downstairs light in half an hour.”
You can also set procedures in your Alexa or Google Home smartphone app that combine multiple devices. For instance, try "Alexa, I'm going out," and arm your motion detectors, reduce the thermostat, and lock the doors. Or create a routine for "movie night" and ask your home to lower the lights and adjust the thermostat to to that perfect, cozy place.
